INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
A Philadelphia man is charged with possession of a controlled substance and other crimes for a traffic stop on Thursday in Indiana Borough. Police say that they pulled over a man later identified as 31-year-old Halim Thrower in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue. He initially presented a false ID to the officers, but they were able to get his identity. It was discovered that he was wanted on a warrant from State Police. When he was in custody, he allegedly tried to destroy evidence. He was placed in Indiana County Jail after he was arraigned on his warrant.
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with theft for an incident on July 21st in Indiana Borough. Officers were called out to a home in the 1500 block of Philadelphia Street for the incident. The victim told police that there was a verbal altercation between him and 54-year-old Michelle Donahue. The argument forced him to leave, but Donahue removed some cash from his wallet left inside the residence. Donahue is charged with theft before District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
