Negotiations continued between the State System of Higher Education and the union that represents its teachers.
No agreement was reached on a new collective bargaining agreement between PASSHE and APSCUF for state system teachers, but the negotiation teams did discuss bargaining-unit work, continuing education service and consolidation issues during the two day session. Another two-day session is scheduled for August 2nd through the 4th.
The current four-year contract remains in effect while negotiations are going on. No timetable is in place for the completion of negotiations. The previous agreement expired on June 30th.
Meanwhile, contract negotiations for the coaches’ contract are slated to resume on August 28th. Their last negotiation session was on July 18th.
