PHILADELPHIA STREET PAVING PROJECT ROLLS ON

Paving operations continue for the Philadelphia Street paving project in White Township.

After going with nighttime milling and paving work, state-contracted crews are doing some paving in the daylight hours on the western half of Philadelphia Street from Ben Franklin Road to Station/Papermill avenues in Indiana Borough.  The work will also include the reconstruction of sidewalk and curb ramps at the intersections of 12^th and 13^th streets in Indiana Borough to bring them into line with ADA regulations.  The project is expected to wrap up by August 11^th.  Quakers Sales Corporation in Johnstown is working on the project.

Pedestrians and drivers alike are advised to be careful in work zones and ask pedestrians to follow posted detours and drivers to be aware of side street closures.
