Officials with White Township are alerting motorists of some possible detours around the Ramsey Run Bridge Replacement Project area.
According to the township’s website, East Pike Road has been closed at Ramsey Run Road as PennDOT contractors begin work on a five-week bridge replacement project and detours could span anywhere between three and five miles.
Those looking to access the Two Lick lake from Indiana Borough are asked to take the Route 286 East exit detour towards Airport Road, Geesey Road and Stormer Road to East Pike beyond the work site. Another detour takes motorists from the eastern part of the township to Indiana Borough from Stormer Road onto Geesey Road, Airport Road and Route 286 West (Indiana exit) to Philadelphia Street. The last detour has motorists turning left onto East Pike from Ramsey Run, then taking the Route 286 East exit and following Airport Road, Geesey Road, and Stormer Road to East Pike.
The road is expected to reopen on August 28.
