The nighttime closure of the westbound lanes of Route 22 in East Wheatfield Township will continue another week, through the end of July. Then the eastbound lanes will close for an unspecified period of time.
The westbound closure is from 11 PM to 5 AM nightly between McFeaters Road and the Route 403/Cramer Pike on-ramp, with traffic detoured onto Route 422 in Ebensburg to the Route 119 ramp to Wayne Avenue in White Township. There is also a ten-foot width restriction in place through August 31st.
The closures are for repairs to the bridge carrying Route 403 over Route 22. The bridge was struck by a truck carrying an oversize load in 2018.
