A Homer City man was sentenced in three separate cases yesterday.
Judge Michel Clark oversaw the three sentencing hearings for 50-year-old Shawn Lyman, who was charged in two cases with Simple Assault, along with resisting arrest and indecent exposure in one of those cases, and in a third case, he was charged with DUI. In one of the cases Lyman was sentenced, he was involved in an incident at Indiana Regional Medical Center on December 30th where he became combative with hospital staff as he was being discharged. The incident ended with two staffers suffering minor injuries and Lyman spitting towards a nurse’s station while he was being ejected. In that case, he was ordered to serve 90 days in county jail and 53 months of probation.
For the other simple assault case, he was also sentenced to 90 days in jail and to 53 months of probation. The sentences in those cases will run concurrently with each other.
In the DUI case, he was ordered to serve five days to six months in jail, but he was paroled immediately in that case.
