More information is expected to be released today in a homicide case that started when a body was found near the Indiana-Cambria County border.
According to Cambria County District Attorney Gregory Neugebauer in a news release issued yesterday, 41-year-old Justin Green and 31-year-old Brooke Pulin, both of Johnstown, were apprehended and in Cambria County Prison. Both are charged in connection with the death of 44-year-old Daryl Vincent Lee, Jr. of Johnstown. His body was found along Route 403 in Indiana County.
Green and Lee had completed some landscaping jobs in the Johnstown area and as they were driving across town to pick up money from a customer, Green allegedly shot Lee with a 12-gauge shotgun. Later in the day, Green and Pulin reportedly drove to Maryland and tossed the gun in the Potomac River, then drove back to Indiana County to dispose of the body.
Bail was denied for Green as he faces criminal homicide, felony robbery and misdemeanor counts of abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, providing a false ID to police and receiving stolen property. Pulin faces all the misdemeanor charges, and had bail set at $150,000.
A news conference is scheduled for 3:00 this afternoon to discuss further details on the case at the State Police Barracks in Indiana. We will have that news conference on our Facebook page.
