If you didn’t hit the Powerball jackpot last night, the good news is that no one else did either. The other part of that is that the jackpot has now surpassed the billion dollar mark.
As no one matched all five regular numbers and the Powerball in the multi-state lottery game, the jackpot rolls over to Wednesday’s drawing to $1 billion, with a cash prize of $516.8 million. The last time that the Jackpot was won was April 19th when someone won $252.6 million. This marks the third time the game has reached the $1 billion mark. The highest Powerball jackpot was $2.04 billion won last year, with the second highest being $1.586 billion won in 2016.
By the way, the other multi-state lottery game that Pennsylvania takes part in, the Mega Millions, is up to $640 million for tonight’s draw.
