A New Florence man could face DUI charges for an incident early Tuesday morning. State police say that at 12:19 AM, troopers pulled over a 59-year-old New Florence man in the 13,900 block of Route 56 East in East Wheatfield Township and discovered that he was driving on a suspended license and was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. He refused field sobriety tests but did consent to a legal blood draw at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Charges are pending the result of those tests.
More details were released on a crash last Friday afternoon in Green Township. State police say that 21-year-old John Scott of Northern Cambria was going North on Route 580 when he lost control of his pickup truck and went across into the southbound lane before hitting an embankment on the west berm. The impact caused the truck to roll over before coming to rest facing south in the southbound lane. Scott was taken to IRMC for a cut to his head.
State Police are looking for information on a report of vandalism to someone’s car last night. Troopers say that the incident happened at 10:52 PM along Grove Lane in White Township, as someone threw mayonnaise on the hood, roof and front windshield of a car. No other details are available.
