Indiana County’s first responders had a relatively quiet 4th of July holiday, with only four incidents reported by Indiana County 911.
Two calls were for accidents on county roads. The first was on Route 210 west in East Mahoning Township. Indiana County 911 dispatched the Marion Center and Plumville fire departments, Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police at 1:35 yesterday afternoon. State police have not issued a news release on the accident.
A second accident was reported on Short Cut Road in Buffington Township at 2:47 PM. State police and Vintondale firefighters were dispatched at the time.
The Indiana Fire Association was called out for two calls on top of being on standby for the fireworks at Mack Park. The first call was for an automatic fire alarm activation on Church Street at 4:35 PM. That brought companies four and one to the scene. The other call was for a traffic control detail on Wayne Avenue in White Township at 10:39 last night as the fireworks show ended at Mack Park.
