Activity resumes today in Indiana County’s courts after the Independence Day Holiday with preliminary hearings at the district court level and two plea court hearings at the county courthouse.
Among those facing preliminary hearings today is Matthew Brian Pacconi of Indiana, who is charged in connection with an incident at the Marion Center Speedway, where he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Police took him to IRMC so that he could be medically cleared to go to the county jail. He allegedly became disorderly and unruly with hospital staffers, and urinated in the room he was being kept in. When police took him back into custody, he resisted arrest. He is due before District Judge Guy Haberl at 2:00 this afternoon.
Meanwhile at the county courthouse, 39-year-old Ashley Henry of Clymer is expected to enter pleas today for charges of simple assault and harassment in connection with an incident on August 30th of last year.
Also up for a plea hearing today is 28-year-old Shayvon Morgan of Indiana, who faces charges of possession of contraband, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia along with possession with intent to deliver. The incident goes back to September 8th of last year. The incident allegedly happened at SCI-Pine Grove, where he has been incarcerated since February of 2019.
