Today is Independence day, the day that celebrates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence. As today is a federal holiday, there are several closures in effect.
All federal, state and local government offices and courts are closed. This includes PennDOT Drivers License Centers. State liquor stores that would normally be open on a Tuesday will be open until 5 PM today. Many banks are closed for the day as well.
The US Postal Service is closed for the holiday, and there is no regular mail delivery. UPS and FedEx will not offer pickup or delivery services today.
