As the Independence Day weekend gets underway, Indiana County’s first responders were busy last night and this morning with several calls for service.
The incidents started at 1:55 PM, with the Coral Graceton fire department called out for a utility line down along First Street in Center Township. Then the first of two vehicle accidents was reported as Commodore fire fighters, Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police were dispatched to Route 580 in Green Township for a crash at 4:54 PM. The second crash was in Conemaugh Township at 10:22 PM, and it brought the Saltsburg and Tunnelton fire departments, Lifestat EMS and State Police to a location on Route 286 West.
A gas leak was reported at 3:16 this morning on Bowdertown Road in Montgomery Township. Cherry Tree fire officials were dispatched at the time. And an Automatic Fire Alarm was reported at a location on Locust Street in Indiana Borough. That brought members of the Indiana Fire Association out at 3:50 AM.
