MONDAY SEES PLENTY OF ACTIVITY FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

Along with the crash in Burrell Township, Monday was an active day for Indiana County first responders.

Marion Center and Plumville firefighters were dispatched to an automatic fire alarm activation at 1:15 p.m. near Washington Road in Rayne Township.

Clyde Fire Department was dispatched to set up a landing zone along Route 22 East in West Wheatfield Township around 7 p.m.

And Tunnelton firefighters responded to a gas leak along Tunnelton Road in Conemaugh Township shortly after 9:30 p.m.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!

I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.

I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)

It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.

Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.

It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
