A bill geared towards protecting older Pennsylvanians from losing access to two state prescription programs recently gained Senate approval.
Senator Joe Pittman announced in a Facebook post that Senate Bill 607 was passed on Monday. The bill ensures older Pennsylvanians do not lose access to two key medication programs: PACE and PACENET. Judy Ward, Senator of the 30th legislative district, first introduced the bill and Pittman called it an “important measure to protect PACE and PACENET participants who may be pushed beyond the eligibility limits, due solely to a cost-of-living increase in Social Security payments.”
Senate Bill 607 now heads to the House for consideration.
