The Purchase Line School Board will meet tonight, and the budget is on the agenda.
According to the draft agenda for tonight, revenues in the 2023-24 proposed budget come to $21,237,109 and expenditures come to $21,493,532. The budget also includes a 6.1% tax increase for district residents, amounting to a four-tenth of a mil tax increase for Indiana County residents, and a 1.1 mil tax increase for Clearfield County residents.
The board will also look to approve participation in the 2023 Pennsylvania Youth Survey for grades 6, 8, 10, and 12, and a memorandum of understanding for the district to share the results of that survey with the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission. The district will also consider joining a class action lawsuit against certain social media companies.
The meeting will start at 7:00 PM at the district board room and will also be streamed online. You can watch the meeting using Zoom Video Chat with this link
