The River Valley School District was recently recognized as a National “Lighthouse” School System by the School Superintendents Association.
River Valley is just one of six school districts nationwide to earn the designation of a “Lighthouse” School System, which recognizes districts that serve as a “beacon of light” in specific areas relating to redesigning the American educational system. The district was specifically naned an Excellent Choice in the “Future Ready Learners: Academic Success, Real World Experiences” category.
Superintendent Phillip Martell said in a news release that the recognition “reflects significant leadership on the part of the administrative team, collaboration with district educators and staff, and a focus on future-ready learners with an emphasis on early exposure to careers and workforce development.
River Valley School District will be recognized at the second annual Learning 2025 National Summit in Washington D.C. on June 27th.
