Indiana can expect a small surge of people this weekend for a special convention to be held at the KCAC.
The Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex will host the Lions Club of Pennsylvania’s convention which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the PA Lions. The convention starts today and will run through the 21st. Convention Chairman Richard Hautz said that the reason why the convention came to Indiana was because the prior host city was not ready to host it.
The convention is going to be very busy with different “hands-on” activities, including vendors, music shows, and even a sand sculpture. PA Lions Administrator Deb Burkholder added that the heart of the Lions club is their service to others, and one event at the convention will do just that.
The convention will also include a visit by the president of Lions International Brian Sheehan, and a fireworks display is scheduled for Saturday night. All Pennsylvania Lions and anyone interested in joining the Lions club are encouraged to attend. Admittance to the convention is $15.
