State Police have released a large batch of reports for incidents that occurred in the last few weeks. They include an accident that happened last Tuesday afternoon on West Pike at the intersection with North Ben Franklin Road in White Township. Police say 68-year-old Matricia Fiscus of McIntyre failed to stop at the red light on West Pike and collided with the vehicle of Sharon Burkett of Indiana, causing Burkett’s vehicle to spin out and crash into the vehicle of Patricia Mellish of Shelocta. The Fiscus and Burkett vehicles sustained disabling damage. Mellish’s vehicle was able to be driven from the scene. No one was hurt.
Among the crime reports were two write-ups of retail thefts at the White Township Walmart store, several domestic incidents that turned physical, an identity theft case involving a Washington Township woman who was able to put a stop to a credit card scheme before any transactions took place, another identity theft case involving a Blairsville woman which was stopped by the institution before there was any damage, assorted criminal mischief and harassment incidents, some break-ins, theft and drug investigations, and an incident in White Township in which an unknown man threatened to kill an employee at an Oakland Avenue store because the item he was interested in was not on sale.
