Blairsville Borough Police released details on two crashes that happened Thursday.
The first happened during the morning hours at the intersection of South Morrow and East Brown Street. Officers say Taylor Alfs of Monhans, Texas, attempted to turn right onto East Brown from the southbound lane of South Morrow Street, but the trailer that was attached to his pickup truck knocked over a street sign and then hit a fire hydrant. The trailer sustained minor damage.
The second crash was described as a hit-and-run that happened between 12:45 p.m. and 2:14 p.m. along East Market Street. Police say they were informed by Vickie Baxter of Blacklick that someone hit and subsequently broke her driver’s side mirror.
