PITT FOOTBALL
Pitt football coach Pat Narduzzi yesterday got verbal commitments from two players, one of them a transfer from the University of California at Berkley. He’s 6-6, 305 pound offensive lineman Jackson Brown, whose late father Tony played for Pitt in the early 1980s before playing for the Bills and Dolphins in the NFL. Jackson Brown played in two games for the Bears last season and will redshirt this season, with four years of eligibility remaining.
Pitt also got a commitment from David Brewton, a linebacker who will be a senior this season at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. He is Pitt’s 11th commit for the class of ’24.
