State police have released more information on a crash in Center Township on Wednesday.
The crash happened on Old Route 56 at the intersection with Hilltop Road. Police say 40-year-old Kristie Cooper of Homer City was driving Jeep Wrangler and stopped at the intersection while an un-named 17-year-old from Aultman driving a Chevy Impala was going West on Old Route 56. The Jeep entered the highway without proper clearance and the two vehicles collided. The impact caused the Jeep to spin out and land in the nearby creek, while the Impala remained disabled on the road.
Cooper had a minor cut over her left eye from the collision and was eventually taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver and two passengers in the Impala were not injured.
