Indiana Borough Police arrested an Allegheny County man following an incident on Sunday at the Sheetz along Wayne Avenue. Officers say they were summoned to a report of retail theft and underage drinking at the store, and discovered that 18-year-old Justin Siford of Allison Park took alcohol from the store and drank it despite being under the legal drinking age. Siford was charged with retail theft and underage drinking.
An Indiana man was charged following an incident Wednesday night at the Sheetz along Philadelphia Street. Indiana Borough Police were dispatched around 8:55 p.m. for reports of an intoxicated man in the area with his pants down. Upon arrival, officers arrested 51-year-old Brian G. Swaniek after they said he was intoxicated to the point where he was a danger to himself and others. Swaniek was lodged at Indiana County Jail on a temporary detainer, then issued a non-traffic citation for public drunkenness.
