PennDOT has announced a delay in the work on the Margaret Road Improvement Project in Plumcreek Township.
Due to the wet weather conditions, road crews will complete the concrete barrier installation to May 8th to the 12th between 7 AM and 5 PM each day. The barrier will be set up along Route 422, which will result in lane restrictions, and once the barrier is in place, there will be a vehicle width restriction of 10 feet in place.
The project will provide roadway realignment to improve the existing intersection, sight distance and geometrics along the 422 corridor. This includes the construction of a two-span bridge and a box culvert, and replacing a four-way intersection with a T-intersection just west of the current intersection. The project is expected to wrap up in June of 2025.
