BIKE TO SCHOOL EVENT TO BE HELD MAY 11TH

The Indiana County Active Transportation Committee and the Indiana School District have announced plans for the upcoming Bike to School day.

The Bike to School event will be held Thursday, May 11^th for students who attend Horace Mann and the Junior High School.  The ride will start at 8:00 at the KCAC and will be lead through town by Indiana Borough Police, the County Sheriff’s office, and staff from the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development.  IRMC will provide breakfast snacks before the ride start and bathrooms will be available at the KCAC before the ride starts, but there will be no restroom stops during the ride.

Parents are advised to make sure that kids are equipped with a size-appropriate bike and a helmet along with other well-fitted safety gear.  Parents are welcome to join in the ride and participation is free.

The doors at the KCAC will open at 7:15, and they advise participants to arrive no later than 7:45 AM.
