Some areas of Indiana County will be under a wind advisory today.
The National Weather Service has issued the Wind Advisory that will start at 10:00 this morning and end at 2:00 tomorrow morning for the higher elevations of Indiana County. The advisory says that winds from the Southeast are expected to be around 20 to 30 miles an hour, with wind gusts up to 50 miles an hour expected. The advisory also extends into all of Westmoreland and Fayette Counties.
Gusty winds are expected to blow around unsecured objects and tree limbs could be blown down. A few power outages could happen as well. The high winds are also expected to make driving difficult, especially for higher-profile vehicles. Drivers are advised to use extra caution.
