Citizens in Indiana County will have a chance to get rid of unused, unwanted and expired prescription drugs.
Diamond Drug will hold its annual Drug Takeback event today as part of National Drug Takeback Day. Indiana’s event is held in conjunction with the county sheriff’s office and the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission. The event is designed for people to be able to get rid of prescription medication that is no longer needed in a safe manner. Kami Anderson of the AICDAC explains that those who abuse drugs have turned to their home medicine cabinets to find them
The event runs from 10-2 today.
