INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police are investigating a theft that happened on April 8th. Police say the theft was reported at 6:35 AM at the Sheetz on Wayne Avenue. Police say the suspect, described only as a black male, passed counterfeit money to a Sheetz cashier and had it applied to a CashApp card. The man left the scene in a silver four-door sedan. Anyone with information on the incident should call police at 724-349-2121.

State police are investigating a case of fraud in the Northern part of Indiana County. Troopers say the incident reportedly happened on March 22nd at 6:03 PM. The victim, a 47-year-old woman from Rossiter, was purchasing items off a Facebook account, but discovered that the account was hacked after sending $50 to the scammer. The purchased items were never sent. The investigation is continuing.
