One person was killed in a motorcycle crash in Cherry Tree Borough on Sunday.
State police say the crash happened at 8:00 PM at 301 Front Street. A motorcycle was headed South on Front Street when the driver lost control of the bike and went off the right side of the roadway. It went about 300 feet in the grass beside the road before colliding head-on with a utility pole. The bike came to rest in a ditch about 30 feet away from the pole, while the victim was found 20 feet away from the pole.
Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. assisted police and Cherry Tree firefighters on-scene with the investigation. The victim’s identity was not released.
