Indiana Borough Police are asking the public to help them identify the suspect in an armed robbery of a convenience store in Downtown Indiana last night.
Police say that at 7:20 PM yesterday, officers were notified of the robbery at the convenience store in the 700 block of Philadelphia Street. An employee told police that the unnamed suspect walked behind the counter and demanded cash while brandishing a knife. No one was injured in the encounter but the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was described by police as a white man, about 6 feet tall, and was wearing a green winter hat, black coat and a dark colored cloth covering the lower half of his face. The suspect came to the store walking east and got away on foot travelling west.
