OLIVIA ZIMMERMAN NAMED TRIBLIVE HSSN SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

TribLive High School Sports Network announced this afternoon that Indiana High junior Olivia Zimmerman is its Softball Player of the Week.

Zimmerman was credited with helping the Little Indians to wins in six of their seven recent games, including a 2-1 victory over West Mifflin on Monday, a game where she wracked up a triple and double.

Zimmerman also had a helping hand in Indiana’s 14-2 drubbing of Freeport on Thursday. In that game, she went 2-for-3 with a home run, double and six runs batted in.

She also hit two home runs in a 9-7 defeat of West Shamokin on March 27.
