At the Indiana Borough Council meeting Tuesday night, borough police chief Justin Schawl talked about the future of the police’s comfort K-9 program, and police could see another K-9 officer join the force.
Indiana Borough Manager Nicole Sipos said that Chief Justin Schawl is set to discuss the program in detail at borough council’s work session later this month.
In other business, the council approved four events to be held in April at IRMC Park. The first will be April 12th for an event from Citizens’ Ambulance Service, followed by IUP STATIC walk and end of semester cookout on April 22nd, the 2023 Hawk Walk on April 28th and an event from the university’s anthropology club and the Rep Room the following day.
