The 32nd brush fire for the year in Indiana County was reported yesterday.
Indiana County 911 reports that the brush fire was reported on Grafton Road in Black Lick Township. Black Lick, Blairsville and Aultman fire departments were dispatched Wednesday at 7:41 PM. When crews arrived, they found the small fire to be out and all units could cancel.
Black Lick and Blairsville fire crews were also called out early this morning for a vehicle crash on Route 22 at the intersection with Cornell Road. The crash was reported at 4:09 this morning. Crews found that one vehicle was involved in the crash and the vehicle was partially blocking one lane on the road. Not only did crews provide traffic control, but they also had to contain some fluids leaking from the vehicle. No word yet if anyone was injured in the crash. State police were also called to the scene.
Other calls included a vehicle fire on South 13th Street in Indiana Borough, with Indiana Fire and Police departments being summoned at 4:48 PM.
Pine Township firefighters would be called out twice within an hour. The first call was at 7:56 PM for utility lines down on Route 403 North, and the other was 20 minutes later on Route 553 for what was termed a miscellaneous call.
