PennDOT has announced that the closure of a bridge in the Homer City Borough Area for replacement project has been postponed.
The project affected the bridge that carries Jacksonville Road over Twolick Creek. It will consist of replacing the existing structure with a two-span, composite, prestressed concrete bulb-tee beam bridge. The project required the closure of Jacksonville Road between Riverside Drive and North Main Street.
The start date was moved from April 3rd to April 24th. No word on why the delay was made necessary, but the project is expected to wrap up by the end of November. Clearwater Construction out of Mercer, PA will work on the project.
