PennDOT District 10 is announcing some work on two bridges over Two Lick Creek, one in White Township and the other near Homer City starting April 3rd.
The project in White Township is for the bridge that carries Route 422 over the creek in White Township. Crews from Palo Construction of Clarion will rehabilitate the bridge, and that includes deck and bearing replacements and painting the existing steel structures. Motorists can expect lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound lanes of 422 from the Route 286 interchange to the South 6th Street interchange.
The other project will be the bridge that carries Jacksonville Road over the creek from Center Township into Homer City borough at the intersection of West Indiana Street, North Main Street and Old Route 119. That will be a bridge replacement project with the old bridge removed and a two-span composite pre-stressed concrete bulb-tee beam bridge will go in its place. Jacksonville Road will be closed between Riverside Drive and Old 119, and detours for both Homer City and Center Township residents will be posted. Clearwater Construction of Mercer will work on the project.
Both projects are expected to wrap up in November of this year.
