INDIANA, BLAIRSVILLE, BLACK LICK FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO CALLS SATURDAY

It was a relatively quiet Saturday for Indiana County’s first responders.

Indiana firefighters were dispatched in the early afternoon for two automatic fire alarms in White Township.  Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters were sent twice last night for utility lines down along Chestnut Ridge Road, once in Burrell Township and once in Blairsville Borough.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
