At tonight’s meeting, the Homer-Center School Board is expected to accept the resignation of one of its members.
On the agenda is the resignation of Mike Schmidt, who was first elected to the school board in 2019. He is stepping down from both the school board and from the Homer-Center Parks and Rec committee effective immediately. No reason has been given for his resignation. During tonight’s meeting, the board will conduct some interviews for prospective board members to fill the rest of his term.
The board will also consider approving the government entity settlement with JUUL labs, and approving three quotes from Earthcraft for lawn treatments for the high school entrance, Memorial Field and the practice field.
The meeting starts at 7:30 in the district board room.
