At Tuesday night’s meeting, a candidate for the United School Board accused a current board member of calling him and telling him that his signatures were being challenged.
During the public comment period, candidate Wayne Waugh informed the board of a call made by Hunter Overdorff that he received last Friday about the challenge. He also claimed that Overdorff told him that he was not fit for the job.
Some board members said they did not discuss making any such call, and board president Eric Matava said that any such call did not represent the board as a whole.
When asked about the call, Overdorff said he had no comment.
In other business, the board approved a three-year agreement with Kotzan CPA and Associates to have them perform the district’s annual audit, and the board also accepted with regret the resignation of High School Social Studies teacher Amy Shellhammer. She has served the district for 26 years.
