During its meeting Monday night, the Purchase Line School Board approved drilling a new well for the elementary school’s water supply.
The work will be done by Book and Proch Well Drilling and will include the design and construction of a water treatment system per Department of Environmental Protection requirements. Board president Scott Gearhart said that the project is expected to provide better water for the elementary school.
He feels that the water from the new well will be easier to treat, and expects everything to be in place by summer.
In other business, the board approved a bid for coal from RFI resources at a cost of $201.25 a ton. Also approved was a contract extension with Canton’s Driving School.
