PennDOT is alerting motorists that at the start of April, a traffic detour will go into effect at the Margaret Road Intersection Improvement Project in Plumcreek Township.
Margaret Road will be closed between Route 422 and Sunken Valley Road as crews relocate utilities, install drainage and construct the pier for the new bridge. The project will provide roadway realignment and improvement of the existing intersection along the Route 422 corridor between Indiana and Kittanning. The project replaces an existing four-way intersection with a T-intersection relocated at a point approximately 1,600 feet to the west of the existing intersection.
The planned detour will utilize Routes 422, 210 and 85 along with Margaret Road. The detour will go into effect on April 1st and will run through the end of June.
