While the district’s strike has stopped school operations, the school board will meet tonight.
On the proposed agenda for tonight’s meeting is the approval of the 2023-24 school year calendar, the approval of a contract to refinish the elementary and high school gym floors at a cost of $7000, and an agreement with Canton Driving School to provide driver’s education instruction to the district at a cost of $200 a student or $210 if the cost of gas goes above $4.00 a gallon. Students would be responsible for paying $50 to reimburse the district for the cost of the instruction.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7:00, and will be held at the Junior/Senior High Auditorium. The meeting is open to the public.
