After the governor delivered his budget address, State Representative Jim Struzzi and State Senator Joe Pittman offered their reaction to the address and to the budget itself.
While Struzzi said there were several points in the Governor’s budget he agreed with, one that he didn’t was the continuation of the state’s entry into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, better known as RGGI, which he did not mention in the address but was included in the budget itself.
Pittman said that transportation funding and infrastructure could be an area that both sides could come to an agreement with, but he is ready to work to make sure that the job is complete.
The June 30th that Pittman referenced is the final day of the fiscal year and the traditional deadline for the budget to be completed.
