Earlier today, Governor Josh Shapiro delivered his budget address to a joint session of the state house and senate.
In his 90-minute speech, Shapiro addressed many different areas that his budget was going to cover.
Shapiro said that the budget has been put in a fiscally sound position under the previous administration, and that his budget will continue that conservative course.
Shapiro’s budget comes to $44.4 billion, which is an increase of about 4%, with most of the new money going to education, health care and social services.
