After a very busy Friday and Saturday, Indiana County first responders had a relatively calm Sunday with only three calls reported.
Two of those calls were for reported vehicle crashes. The first was at 3:59 PM on Wayne Avenue in White Township. Indiana Fire and Rescue Squad personnel were dispatched at that time along with Citizens Ambulance and State Police. No official report has been issued on the accident, but initial reports showed there were no injuries in the crash.
The second crash was reported at 4:09 PM on Route 56 East in Brush Valley Township. Brush Valley fire department, Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police were called out.
The other call was for what was initially termed a brush fire on Campbells Mill Road in Burrell Township. Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were called out at 9:49 PM. The initial reports said that a utility pole caught fire and triggered a field fire as well.
