PA Senate Republicans have announced their priorities for this upcoming session of the senate.
PA Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward of Westmoreland County said yesterday in a news conference that the Senate Republicans want to help state residents make their way through the tough financial times, including struggles with inflation. That point was also highlighted by Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman.
Senate GOP leaders want to continue to build on their successful efforts in the last session of improving the state’s tax structure, the state system redesign, modernizing workforce development laws, create new tax credits to generate jobs, supporting mental health services, increasing quality educational opportunities, reduce government regulation and push for more integrity in the election process.
In the announcement, Ward and Pittman along with Appropriations Committee Chair Scott Martin expressed their hope that both parties can work together to help state residents.
