Two announcements concerning Camp Cadet were made this morning by State Police. One of them announced the opening of the annual scholarship program. The other announced a new location for the annual camp for kids interested in a career in law enforcement.
Applications are being sought for the Camp Cadet Graduate Scholarship program, which is available to any eligible and deserving camp cadet graduate planning on attending a college, trade or technical school after graduation. Individuals can earn up to $500 in scholarships, with a maximum of $5,000 in scholarships available for this year. Eligible candidates can apply each year of their post-secondary career, up to four years.
Applications are also being accepted for the 2023 edition of Camp Cadet, which moves from Camp Seph Mack at Yellow Creek to the Little Mahoning Bible Camp in Smicksburg from June 4th to the 10th. The camp is a chance for those interested in a career in law enforcement to attend the week-long camp for free. The camp is run by State Police troopers and other volunteers, and is free for attendees.
