Contract negotiations continued yesterday between the State System of Higher Education and the union representing teachers at state-owned universities.
According to a joint release from PASSHE and APSCUF, negotiations between both sides continued yesterday as scheduled, with negotiation teams discussing academic advising and department chairs. Negotiations are scheduled to resume this Friday.
The current four-year contract that covers faculty at IUP and the other state-owned universities is set to expire on June 30th. The union represents about 5000 faculty and coaches at state-owned universities. The coaches’ contract, which is separate from the faculty contract, is also set to expire later this year.
