Classes in the Penns Manor School District continue to be cancelled today as the teachers strike enters its second day.
Teachers will be on the picket lines once again this morning as they continue to protest the perceived lack of a fair contract.
Last night, citizens from across the district were in attendance at a meeting held by the district to present information on the ongoing negotiations. This included a lengthy PowerPoint presentation that included statistics, statements and budgetary analyses that supported the district’s position in the negotiations, including information on health insurance benefits and the early retirement incentive and compensation.
No word yet if there are any new negotiation sessions are scheduled, but both sides have said they are willing to return to the table.
