PennDOT has announced a public plans display for a bridge project in Young Township, and it is a bit unusual in that it is an actual in-person event. Most such events since the pandemic began have been held virtually.
The open house display for the Green Valley Bridge Number One Replacement Project is scheduled for the Young Township Municipal Building along Park Drive in Clarksburg on Tuesday, March 14th from 6 to 7 PM. Preliminary information on the project’s status, schedule, design and right-of-way acquisition will be shared and PennDOT representatives and design consultants will be there to answer questions.
The Green Valley Bridge Number One carries McIntyre Road over Blacklegs Creek.
This is the second plans display meeting for a bridge replacement in the Clarksburg area announced this week. The public can also view the plans for the replacement of the bridge carrying Clarksburg Road over Blacklegs Creek in Conemaugh Township, on March 7th from 6 to 7 PM at the trinity Presbyterian Church of Clarksburg. Construction on the bridge is anticipated to begin in 2026 and traffic will be detoured while the work is being done.
