State Representative Jim Struzzi is eager to get back to work in Harrisburg as the House is finally called into session, seven weeks late. New Speaker of the House Mark Rozzi shut down the session before it even began, waiting for the results of three special elections that gave the Democrats a majority in the House. The first order of business when the House opens on Tuesday will be establishing the operating rules, which should have been done on January 3rd.
Struzzi says he will be participating in two key hearings this week. On Tuesday, the House Republican Policy Committee will discuss regulatory reform and on Wednesday, there will be a roundtable discussion examining program fraud, waste, and abuse of federal and state taxpayer dollars.
The House will be in session Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.
